I wanted to take a little time this morning to archive some of the statements I’ve proposed on SoapBoxxer. I agree with nearly all of them, though there are some where I have not determined a position on. Many of these have discussions and supporting rationale for both sides of the issue. As the phrase turned into the word, the original meaning was a bit obscured, but even the truncated version has “ye” at the end, which is just another word for “you”. So if she can remember the etymology, she will do a better job with the spelling.”
